Here is a time lapse video of the sun coming up on the Nam Khan River in Luang Prabang, Lao People’s Democratic Republic. I sped up the footage and did a slow digital zoom, so if it looks like the river is moving fast, it is actually moving 400x’s faster than it should be.
Awoke at the break of dawn to record the monks receiving alms. As you can see from the video, it is a beautiful and important Buddhist ritual for the monks. Unfortunately, it has also become uncomfortable for them due to the amount of tourists that come to take pictures.
