The Mansion on O Street in Washington, DC, is hosting a Meet the Authors event with us, Mike and Tara Shubbuck, for our book Create Your Escape: A Practical Guide for Planning Long-Term Travel. If you have ever dreamed of traveling the world, then you’ll want to attend this event at Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 4pm.
In 2012, we quit our jobs to travel the world for more than a year. Our book, Create Your Escape, details how we went from just a dream of traveling the world to actually planning and pulling off a 14-month trip. Our discussion will include travel topics, of course, but it will go beyond that and into the nitty gritty of how you can do this yourself. We’ll also cover finances, like how to save money for travel and while you’re on the road, and how a minimalist mindset and lifestyle helped set us up for success.
This event is free, but reservations are required. Bring any questions you may have, and we’ll answer as many as we have time for. If you want to purchase a book in advance, you can do so on the registration page at a discounted rate, and we’ll also have extra copies at the event in case you want to grab one in person.
