Two people on a quest to explore the world
Filed in: Destinations by Mike Shubbuck
Mike’s addiction to travel started early. His family would often take meandering summer vacations across the United States. These trips gave him an appreciation of his native land, but a thirst for exploration outside of it. Always up for an adventure, he has been talked into skydiving, hanging over Victoria Falls, and jumping off cliffs. Depending on whom you ask, maybe he was the one convincing others to join him. His perspective is usually framed with a lens and he shoots video and photographs religiously. Mike is a lover of all things, but the phrase, “What is your favorite country?” has a special place in his heart. He is co-author of Create Your Escape: A Practical Guide for Planning Long-Term Travel, which teaches other travelaholics how to prepare for long-term travel. […] Banksy on random building – Keep an eye out for this abandoned building with drawings on it. There’s an image in the right hand corner that was a Banksy. (Famous UK street artist) I googled this to confirm it was his! In case you guys are interested…. https://twotravelaholics.com/2012/06/11/banksy-in-iceland/ […]

Hard to tell anymore with all the imitators. It is still great. Nice find.
Google says that grafitti art is big in Iceland but no mention of Banky stuff there except speculation over a headless polar bear pushing a shopping cart. Still cool!
Love it! Looks authentic to me, great art one way or the other.
Wow, that is so cool!! Thanks for sharing. I knew I was going to get an education from your trip. I just read up on him, very interesting – love it!!.
Hi Robin,
Banksy is incredible. You should check out the documentary about him and street art, “Exit Through The Gift Shop” http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00470MG06/ref=as_li_ss_il?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00470MG06&linkCode=as2&tag=mikeshub-20 Really cool stuff.
I saw it last week and it looked like Banksy to me
I did the exact same thing, it looks legit
